Dr. James Berg:
Dr. Jim Berg grew up in
Newark, graduated from
Michigan
State
University in 1975, and has practiced at the
Newark, Hockessin, North East,
Hermitage
Animal
Hospitals before starting the
Animal
Veterinary
Center in 1998. He is married with 5 children, loves his 3 Akitas and lives in Bear, DE. In the past, he has written weekly columns for the News Journal for over 10 years, produced regular TV spots on CN8 for over 4 years, and for more than 20 years is currently hosting a bi-weekly talk show on WDEL (1150AM). This program airs the second and fourth Saturday most months in either the 9-10AM timeslot or from 11AM-Noon.

Dr.Teri Shultz:
Dr. Shultz graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2003. Afterwards, she completed an internship program at the Regional Veterinary Referral Center in Springfield, Virginia where she rotated through multiple specialties such as emergency medicine, internal medicine, surgery, cardiology, radiology, and dermatology.
Her interests include soft tissue surgery, emergency and internal medicine. She also practices Acupuncture and plans to further expand her knowledge in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine in the future. She has been with the Animal Veterinary Center since July 2004. Her current residence is in Newark where she shares a house with her husband Dan, 3 dogs, 4 cats and 2 hamsters. Her hobbies include riding her Harley Davidson, outdoor activities, working out, and spending time with her pets and friends. |

Dr. Renee Boggs:
Dr. Boggs is originally from Dover, Delaware. She received her bachelor's degree from Delaware State University. She graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. Her interests include small animal internal medicine, specifically gastroenterology, and veterinary animal behavior. Dr. Boggs resides in Newark, DE with her husband Ken, their son, and their two dogs, Doppler and Dudley. Doppler is a German Shepherd Dog who Dr. Boggs adopted through a rescue organization in her first year of veterinary school and Dudley is a lovable Beagle Husky mix. Dr. Boggs enjoys sending time with family and friends. She also enjoys spending time outdoors. |
