About Dr. Berg Dr. Jim Berg grew up in Newark, graduated from Michigan State University in 1975, and has practiced at the Newark, Hockessin, North East and Hermitage Animal Hospitals. He is married with 5 children, loves his 4 Akitas and lives in Bear, DE. Dr. Berg produces a bi-weekly radio program heard Saturday mornings on WDEL (1150 AM) as "The Pet Doctor", answers letters in his weekly column that appears Fridays in the News Journal, and appears as a regular guest on the television talk show, Your Morning on CN8.
