Bathing

For the most part, dogs can be bathed on an "as needed" basis. For routine and infrequent bathing, liquid Ivory or Dawn dish soap work well. These are very mild cleaners that are not irritating nor toxic to the pet. Dawn works well to remove oil/grease. Shampoos available at our office that are good for routine bathing are called Relief shampoo and cream rinse. If your pet has a medical need for more frequent bathing or has a problem with itching due to allergies, etc., we can suggest some shampoos available at our office. And by using the medicines described above for flea and tick control, bathing and dipping to rid your pets of these pests is no longer necessary!!!
